I've just watched this for the first time ever and really don't know what to make of it all... I love good sci-fi, even slightly abstract ones like Under the Skin but after the first half I couldn't make out what was going on.
Why didn't TJN show the doctors he was an alien after insisting he was one?
Why was Farnsworth and the other guy killed?
Why was TJN stopped from flying his ship home?
As I said, I've literally just finished watching, so I'm sure I'll have many more questions... Even after a second viewing...

Thanks for reminding me about that film! I really have to watch it again, it has been too long. My Criterion is fetching a fair amount of dust on my shelf. (: As far as I can remember, it is indeed kind of fragmented. But Roeg's visual language and the atmosphere he creates with it is truly mesmerizing.

The visuals were amazing, it's definitely left an impact on me, but I just lost track...!
