Yeah no. Married...with Children ran 1987-1997 and Ted played Jefferson from 1989 onwards; out of 261 total episodes, he was in 168 of them, 68% of them - hardly "during the end of its days."
Yes, he is the "patron saint" of "jumping the shark", but I think he bucked that stigma with a very successful run on MwC - give credit where it's due.
