Gruffalo, půlhodinový animovaný film, vycházející z klasické obrázkové knížky spisovatelky Julie Donaldsonové a ilustrátora Axela Schefflera, vypráví kouzelný příběh o myšákovi, který chodí po lese a hledá oříšek. Potkává tři predátory, kteří ho chtějí sežrat – lišku, sovu a hada. Aby přežil, musí odvážný myšák použít svůj důvtip. Prohlašuje, že se má setkat s příšerným netvorem Gruffalem a predátoři se jeden po druhém dají zděšeně na útěk. Myšák si věří čím dál tím víc. Nic se mu v lese nemůže stát. Dokud nezajde za roh a neocitne se tváří v tvář příšernému plodu své představivosti, samotnému Grufallovi. Znovu musí vynaložit velké úsilí, aby unikl nebezpečí. Nakonec najde oříšek a může si ho v klidu sníst.

Je podzim roku 1874. Vlak směřující na západ veze Billa Hickoka na místa, odkud před časem po dramatických událostech odjel. Kvůli své bezpečnosti se vrací pod cizím jménem, ale vrátit se musí, protože trpí noční můrou (ve snu ho pronásleduje legendární Bílý bizon), které se nemůže zbavit nikde jinde. Bílý bizon právě napadl indiánskou vesnici a zabil malinkou dcerku bojovníka Splašeného koně. Splašený kůň dceru hlasitě oplakává, ale to se nesrovnává s indiánskou etikou, a tak mu náčelník odebere jméno a nazve ho Červem. Jméno se mu vrátí, až když bizona zabije a přinese jeho kůži. Bill (vystupuje jako James Otis) pokračuje spolu s přítelem Charliem v cestě na sever až do oblasti, kam se vydal i Červ. Stanou se náhodnými svědky toho, jak Červ čelí přesile nepřátelských indiánů a Bill mu pomůže. Několik let uplynulo a Gruffalo žije v jeskyni na okraji temného lesa se svou malou dcerkou. Ta akorát dospívá do věku, kdy se začíná zajímat o život mimo blízké okolí jeskyně. Cestou se setkává se zlomyslným hadem, pedantskou sovou a zbabělým lišákem. Strašného myšáka ale nenalézá a tak zoufalá usedne na studený a sněhem pokrytý kámen, když náhle spatří malého myšáka...

In 2017 history was made when bison were reintroduced to Banff National Park where they continue to roam free today. The project was part of the historic Buffalo Treaty, with over 40 First Nation signatories, who are part of the movement to bring buffalo back to their ancestral lands. Leroy Little Bear & Amethyst First Rider lead this movement, & since Amethyst is first & foremost an artist, she wanted to celebrate the return of the buffalo through art. She met master puppeteer, Pete Balkwill, who was working with sculptural lantern puppets with his collaborators that lent themselves to night time performances on the land
