What is the policy for copy/paste Wikipedia biographies? I see this a lot: "Description above from the Wikipedia article Nicolas Cage, licensed under CC-BY-SA, full list of contributors on Wikipedia."

Is it necessary? If so, what is the preferred way of writing it?

I sometimes try to trim them down and remove non-timeless info. And if someone only copied a line like you mentioned, I remove the wiki credits because that loads of bullcrap to keep them like that. Everyone knows that Person X is a French actress. No need to link to wikipediaaaaaa hahaaha!

Häääääää? I can't find Person X here on TMDb - what are you talking about?!? joy_cat

Just kidding - thanks for your reply! grinning

Hi, if you are using material from Wikipedia you must give credit to Wikipedia.

Yeah and I have seen three different ways for it.

1: 5 words sentence after it, example: https://www.themoviedb.org/person/237770-miguel-faria-jr

2: big sentence after it plus licence code, example: https://www.themoviedb.org/person/18323-marc-lawrence

3: 5 words sentence before it, example: https://www.themoviedb.org/person/552297-jim-steinman

I saw the 5 word variant(s) with and without a dot .. I never saw way 1 being deleted by mods, so this may be the best way?
