One day, FUEN buys some high quality of rice at a grocery; however, she has a bad experience instead. The owner intends to cheat his customer and sells the inferior rice with high price; yet, he mixes up the different quality of rice together. But his plan fails when he meets FUEN this time. FUEN is too smart to be cheated.

FUEN’s fiance BILL is returning to Dai Lian. FUEN waits for him at the pier happily. The return of BILL brings another good news to FUEN because he proposes marrying FUEN immediately after their reunion. FUEN is blithe to welcome her wonderful life with her lover.

On the wedding day, unfortunate thing happens. Government officials arrest BILL for murdering and he is send to Guangzhou for trail. FUEN has no alternatives but follows them to Guangzhou also. She hears about the reputation of KIT and tends to seek for his help and rescue BILL……

It is a screaming pain for the young married couple to depart so soon. BILL exclaims that his relationship with FUEN is so short; meanwhile, FUEN determines to fight justice for BILL. On the other hand, HEI and SHIN flee to Hong Kong also. They embark the island light-heartedly; thus, bring them unexpected adventures in the future. Without knowledge of the western culture, a driver takes them to watch the exotic dance, which is a forbidden show at that time. Hence, HEI and SHIN is arrested by police officer, MOU LUNG……

In the confusion of escape, the ponytail of HEI is on fire. Though FUEN chops off his ponytail and saves him from danger; HEI swears that he will not forgive her for her hasty act. LUNG arrests FUEN and insists HEI to give her adjudication. In respect of the favour that HEI owes FUEN, HEI acquittal the charge on FUEN intelligently. Afterwards, FUEN commences her duty of her job and ironically, it is the house of HEI.

Just when HEI prepares to have his favourable dish of fish, he sees FUEN and chokes by the food. He is so scared that FUEN will poison him for revenge. Meanwhile, SHIN takes the opportunity to urge HEI to study the work of KIT and his diary ‘Inside Stories’; on the other hand, helps FUEN to fight justice for BILL in the future.

The expectation of SHIN and FUEN seems too high for HEI to achieve. HEI is still enjoying his playful life and reluctant to study hard……

Luckily, LUNG arrives and rescues HEI from danger. It is discovered that the man who send LIK to beat HEI is actually the successor of an oyster sauce factory named LAM HING. When HING realises HEI is an MBE, he puts the responsibility on LIK in order to get release. Nevertheless, HING visits HEI with oyster sauce as present and takes him to the brothel. On the other hand, the maid of HING, TAO pleads FUEN to rescue LIK from prison. After enjoying the entertainment arranged by HING, HEI comes back with skin allergy. He is so worried about catching the sexual transmission disease; at last, it is just a panic and he is recovered.

Lack of moral, HING tends to rape TAO at home. Fortunately, LIK arrives in time and saves her. But owing to anger, LIK beats and hurts HING severely. LIK is put behind bars again……

HEI believes the case is obvious that LIK killed HING and eloped with TAO. But, FUEN thinks that the preliminary assumption of HEI has neglected many factors. Meanwhile, TAO and LIK hide themselves at the kitchen of house of HEI. They intend to seek for the assistance of FUEN again. However, LUNG discovers them; yet, LIK has no alternatives but threats YOYO with a knife. Under such circumstances, HEI promises to defence for them.

TAO mentions that WAN and granny LAM offers her a condition in order to help LIK. Therefore, TAO agrees to marry HING as second wife in respect of saving LIK. Meanwhile, when LIK realises that TAO is going to marry; he escapes and returns. On the wedding night, LIK hits HING until he faints; but he swears that he has never killed him.

HEI also agrees that there are uncertainties. Therefore, LUNG suggests HEI to examine the dead body of HING in order to find out more evidences. HEI is furious, of course……

All of them are taken to the police station. A police officer named uncle TAK, orders them to use alcohol and lime water to clean their bodies for antiseptic; whilst, FUEN is inspired by their act. On the other hand, FUEN also has a discovery on WAN. She finds out that WAN orders her staff to pour a bowl of oyster sauce into trash just because a child has fallen a cane ball into it by accident.

Nevertheless, when WAN and granny LAM clean the body of HING’s son with alcohol, they are scare to discover the skin allergy of his body. An ordinary skin disease is coloured by the shadow of ghost. The haunt of HING’s spirit; yet, frightens them to confess the murder. At the moment, HEI and LUNG arrive.

WAN and granny LAM admits that they have killed HING together. Also, granny LAM talks about the history of the oyster sauce factory and the reason for killing her son. TAO and LIK are acquitted and released……

On the Festival of Weaver, HEI is invited to be the judge of a competition, which YOYO also enrols. In the first round, HEI laughs at the performance of YOYO; hence, YOYO leaves the competition with anger. Finally, FUEN replaces her and wins the competition accidentally.

YOYO is upset to learn about the success of FUEN. She breaks her prize with anger. Therefore, HEI rebukes her unreasonable behaviour. YOYO airs her complaints to her father, SHING. Thus, SHING promises YOYO that he will get back everything for her.

HEI is discontent for eating the remaining dishes again. Hence, FUEN explains that SHING stops supplying the necessity to them since HEI offences YOYO last time. SHIN notices the consequence and the influence of SHING then. At the Feast of Lanterns, all gentlemen are required to take up some charity responsibilities. When it comes to the turn of HEI, he has nothing to offer then……

HOI invites HEI to be the supervisor of the new gambling game ‘Chi Fa’ and agrees to share 1/6 of the profit with him. HEI does little analysis on the situation and commits the job at once. Meanwhile, SHIN recognises WEN at the House of Yung. But owing to the misunderstanding in the past, WEN is an opponent to SHIN and they have disagreement immediately after they met.

HEI knows briefly about the history of his family, so he is impressed by the intelligent of WEN. SHIN explains the details to HEI and warns him to be careful then. The launching ceremony of ‘Chi Fa’ is hosted by HEI and WEN is responsible to explain the method of playing.

This has been the most hardworking time of HEI’s life because he tries to figure out the answer of ‘Chi Fa’ overnight. Until he sees the lapel of the coat on FUEN, he is inspired and wins the lottery. On the other hand, FUEN prays at the temple and obtains a lot used for divination……

In order not to fail in his responsibility to provide a good question for ‘Chi Fa’, WEN neglects his health condition and works hard. Yet, HEI has no idea about the answer. On the other hand, YOYO is unhappy for being neglect by HEI; therefore, HEI promises to buy her present after winning the next lottery. Meanwhile, he is inspired by YOYO and wins the game again. Moreover, the neighbours treat HEI as a prophet.

HOI is angry at WEN for bringing him a loss in the ‘Chi Fa’. He smashes WEN cruelly. Besides, a wicked man beats MING and his divine bird for his inaccuracy; therefore, FUEN comforts him kindly. Hence, MING discloses the secret of the prophecy to FUEN unintentionally. One day, WEN passes by the temple and meets MING. WEN tends to praise MING; however, MING does not appreciate at all.

HEI finds himself under pressure while YOYO is selecting a diamond ring……

As money is concerned, WEN think of another difficult question for ‘Chi Fa’; yet, HEI is unable to sort out the answer. The neighbourhoods follow MING for indication; however, MING acts arrogantly. Meanwhile, he spends 900 hundred dollars to gamble on ‘Chi Fa’ again. Unbelievable, MING wins the second time.

HOI is so furious and asks HEI to share his loss. Surprisingly, SHING offers financial support to HEI voluntarily; in return, he forces HEI to take care of YOYO. HEI has no alternatives; but accepts his offer. Besides, the wealth of MING enables him to pay the ransom for FUEN and marry her now. However, FUEN turns him down and explains that their relationship is friendship only.

In avoiding further misunderstanding, FUEN and SHIN tend to find MING and state clearly on the situation. Unexpectedly, they discover his dead body at his apartment. The autopsy says that MING was choked to death by an abalone……

Armed police officers execute HOI due to his escape. WEN is abandon after the death of HOI. He passes by a temple and surprises to discover that another prophet has adopted the divine bird of MING. Nevertheless, when the prophet asks WEN to select a lot used for divination, his prophecy reveals the heart of WEN totally.

WEN scares that his conspiracy with MING for cheating the lottery will be somehow disclosed; whilst, he cannot deny the assumptions of the prophet. No wonder he refuses to believe the prophet and accuses his accuracy. That night, WEN follows the divine bird to the house of MING. He is confused to find MING alive and intends to kill him again.

The attack does not carry out successfully this time; police officers arrive and capture WEN. Then, HEI speaks out the conspiracy of WEN and MING on ‘Chi Fa’ gambling game. Despite the crime that WEN commits, SHIN is impressed by his intelligence and wit……

Autumn arrives; HEI visits Lee Kee Restaurant and tastes his favourable dishes, crab. After finishing the meal, he has a complimentary dessert, pears. However, HEI suffers diarrhoea when he goes home. Coincidentally, the neighbourhoods also claim that they have diarrhoea after dining crab at Lee Kee Restaurant. Therefore, HEI orders to close down Lee Kee Restaurant.

The owner of Lee Kee Restaurant invites Dr. PUI WAI YEUNG to testify their food. YEUNG reports that the chemical reaction of crab and pear will produce toxin, which causes diarrhoea. HEI doubts. He uses mice to prove the theory; however, YOYO ruins his experiment. HEI drives her away angrily; whilst, SHIN intends to help and is beat by YOYO also.

After experiment, HEI approves the diagnosis of YEUNG and re-open Lee Kee Restaurant. On the other hand, YOYO has no regret on her misbehaviour and continues her unreasonable requests. HEI loses patient and locks her up in jail……

HEI predicts that the autumn epidemic will widely spread in town; hence, he urges the wealthy class to donate money for medicine. But most of the people are scared to offence SHING and turn down the request of HEI. On the other hand, YOYO refuses to take medicine unless she gets the attention of HEI. The stubborn of YOYO aches the heart of LUNG, though he tries every ways to please her and takes care of her kindly.

FUEN dissatisfies the frivolous attitude of HEI, who spends most of the time watching playboy instead of solving the financial problem. HEI feels annoy and runaway; SHIN follows him to a brothel. In attracting the attention of ROSE, HEI wins SEVEN in a competition again. SEVEN leaves the brothel with embarrasses and anger.

Meanwhile, SHIN meets a girl named PI PA at the side door of the brothel. Despite the background and status difference, SHIN has a wonderful chat with PI……

Because of lust, the beauty and innocent of PI attract SEVEN and he is willing to pay high price for her virginity. PI shares her worries with SHIN and tells him that her parents died when she was in early teenage years; later, her aunt sold her to the brothel. The story of PI touches the heart of SHIN.

The reputation of YEUNG is widely spread in town; whilst, arises the attention of SEVEN. On the other hand, LUNG still tries hard to tame YOYO taking medicine, he brings along the snack while visiting her. But his effort is ineffective and YOYO listens to HEI only. LUNG is heartbroken……

SEVEN tends to use the prescription of YEUNG to strengthen his sexual ability and have sex with PI. Meanwhile, SHIN takes the opportunity to help PI to escape. Unfortunately, they meet SEVEN at the corridor. Hence, SHIN puts some medicine in the wine that can vitalise blood circulation in order to faint SEVEN.

Afterwards, HEI, SHIN and PI find SEVEN for negotiation at the brothel. SEVEN grants on sympathy but determine to sue SHIN and sell PI to another brothel. Just when the argument carries on severely, SEVEN faints and dies suddenly. YEUNG diagnosis that SEVEN is dead because of the toxin created by the mixture of wine and blood vitalise medicine. LUNG arrests SHIN and PI unwillingly. Meanwhile, SHING forces HEI to break the relationship with SHIN in order to avoid rumours. HEI disagrees. He drowns himself with wine and once again, finds ROSE for relaxation. ROSE persuades HEI to leave the worries behind and go to An Nam with her……

Even though YEUNG is well prepare of the setting of murder, FUEN and HEI capture his fault trickily. YEUNG is under arrested by the police officers. Trial begins, HEI is curious to find out the reason for YEUNG’s intention of murder; yet, many people also wonder why YEUNG will forgo his reputation.

The hidden story turns out to be a sad touching tragedy. YEUNG is attached to the beauty of ROSE since their first met at brothel. Despite all efforts he made throughout his lifetime, he is will to scarifies his reputation for the love of ROSE instead. By knowing that ROSE is eager to return home at the An Nam, YEUNG breaks his code of conduct. Upon the request of SEVEN, YEUNG prescribes the stimulator for SEVEN in order to increase his sexual ability; in return, he gets one thousand dollars. However, the death of SEVEN becomes a mistake in a well-planned matter……

Given the chance, HEI says, he would not marry YOYO but rather prefers FUEN. FUEN is astonished. One day, HEI discovers a thief who looks familiar; yet, FUEN recognises him is BILL instantly. In fact, BILL has escaped from prison and comes to find FUEN in Hong Kong. Therefore, FUEN begs HEI to shelter BILL at the moment.

On the other hand, SHING insists HEI to move in his house despite he does not need to change his family name as ‘Yung’ after he married YOYO. HEI feels reluctant and lacking pride in a certain degree. Besides, the sudden appear of BILL is still a mystery. HEI is surprised to learn from the legal document that BILL has killed the government officials at Guangzhou and flees to Hong Kong.

Despite the generosity that offered from HEI, BILL takes further advantage. He steals the jewellery of HEI and tends to elope with FUEN. Nevertheless, he tells FUEN that he is the murderer of HUNG SUEN. FUEN is stunned then……

It is a kind of shameful experience for HEI to distribution the roast pig at Kwong Sin Tong under the order of SHING. Meanwhile, SHING returns to his reading room for taking the wedding present to YOYO; he is shock to discover BILL. BILL threats SHING for money; in return, keeps the secret for the murder of HUNG.

On the other hand, LUNG doubts about the faithfulness of HEI and his intention on YOYO. He finds HEI very selfish in promising the marriage with YOYO. HEI leaves and withdraws his engagement with YOYO at last. SHING is so surprise to learn the situation and leaves his reading room in a rush. After going out for the search of HEI with LUNG, SHING returns and discovers that BILL is stealing his money. BILL is injured; but he is still able to escape.

According to the bloodstream of BILL, SHING finds his trace at HEI’s house and discovers that BILL dies with the embrace of HEI. Meanwhile, LUNG and FUEN also arrive……

Even though HEI has a proud family history, he is now in jail. SHIN and FUEN visit him at prison to analyse the situation for their investigation. And, they all believe that the murder weapon is very special and has plenty of reason to assume that it belongs to the killer. As they know that SHING is an antique collector; hence, they seek for his advice. However, the reply of SHING is very disappointed.

A dramatic change of relationship has created nothing, but hatred in the heart of YOYO. She smashes HEI harshly when she meets him. Although LUNG understands her feelings, he disagrees with her manner. Nevertheless, he is also tolerating the bad habits of YOYO just because of love. YOYO catches his meaning and apologizes to him immediately.

In order to destroy the evidence, SHING tries to burn the statue; but, he causes a fire carelessly. To rescue SHING, LUNG enters the fire scene and discovers the statue by accident……

Another accident happens, HUANG is found dead in a well. Her death certainly arises people’s doubts, especially on SHING. The vertex of Sir William confirms HEI guilty to the murder charge and condemn to death penalty. The judgement hammers the hearts of SHIN and FUEN.

FUEN visits HEI with delicious food before execution. While HEI feels bitter at heart and forbids her to walk alongside for his execution. Apart, YOYO has to part with SHING at the pier and sets sail to England. But when she discovers HEI is on his way to execution-ground at the same time; she leaves SHING and rushes back to see LUNG, who is still in coma. She begs LUNG to wake up and rescue HEI.

Just when the execution time approaches, SHING receives news that YOYO is kidnapped. SHING has no alternatives but puts a halt on the execution. He brings HEI to trade with the safety of YOYO and confesses his crime unwillingly……
