TMDB rules are to match the original broadcaster. As this was BBC, the current 3 episode per season data is correct.
I believe episode groups can be used to display alternate orders, but I'm afraid I'm not familiar with how to set those up. A moderator may be able to assist further.

@cbh_md The original version of Series 1 that aired on BBC One has only 3 episodes which means Series 1 on TMDB should also only have 3 episodes.
