Emo Dad, who has become a normal dad, takes a new job, and Chris, no longer emo, struggles to find his place back in school after losing his emo friends.

When Chris joins the school newspaper and is bullied by his former friends, he rejects technology. Meanwhile, his dad is doing great in his new job.

Chris has become a hipster, the sworn enemy of the emo clique, while Dad is still depressed over losing his wife.

Chris and Jessica go to the homecoming dance together ironically where Dad's former band, The Bleeding Toes, get back together.

In the Season 2 finale, can Chris and his Dad finally make amends and be who they both want to be? Or will it tear them apart?
