Hardly any posts on most of the boards, not getting anymore active even nearly a week after IMDB close its boards.
Meanwhile Moviechat.org is gone already, the GOTboard has given up and is merging with IMDB2 already, and IMDB2 itself is really confusing to navigate with all the stupid sub forums.
The only solution is for IMDB to reopen its message boards.

I actually feel that moviechat is on par (if not less activity) than TMDB. Just browsing through the walking dead boards on TMDB for example, vs. on moviechat, shows a lot more threads every day. I think this GoT board sees a lot less activity because we're in the off season right now. Expect it to blow up when the season starts!

I haven't been to moviechat in a week.

How true is that.
It's kind of discouraging right now because I used to watch a movie and then be able to go to IMDB and find discussion about the movie right on the spot. That isn't possible on either of these boards because they aren't getting enough traffic. The Walking Dead board here on TMDB has really taken off though...wish a lot of the others would.

Thats exactly my thoughts as well, I used to watch an obscure movie and would go and look at IMDb, now I cant do that again.

A lot of people either don't know about the additional boards or said screw it and moved on from message boards. I've been on moviechat.org since IMDB went down, but the shows I am most interested in have very little traffic, so I'm losing interest in it fast. This board is slightly more busy, but not by much.

Do you feel like there should be more quality over quantity?

I'm not really too picky, but I'm more partial to quality because they bring in more traffic. I just want a place to discuss my favorite shows without having to use social media. My family and friends don't need to know about my Game of Thrones obsession. lol. I just wish they had a little more traffic, but that would require the sites to advertise and they probably don't have the budget for that. I do like this place better than Moviechat though. It's a little more like IMDB, and I like the feature that shows when people respond back.

Heck the discussion boards weren't even created until 2/4. I joined this site on the 2/12 and have been keeping track of what changes have been taking place. A lot has been done to this site to accommodate IMDb users requests. The developer Travis Bell still has a big list he's working on. Many people who came here didn't even know they could post on individual movie, tv and people pages. Some major navigation changes were recently made to improve this.

I appreciate all the work that's been put in, just wish more people knew about the site.

Yeah I read that earlier today. So far I like those additions. I want this site to be better than imdb. An improved version of imdb.

So many of these alternative sites have existed since the 90s, but people used IMDb for the convenience of having a specific board for each movie (aswell as actors and performers).
TMDb is the best alternative choice we have, and the mods here have already shown far more appreciation for our presence than IMDb ever did.

Just curious have any of you posted this site on your Facebook account? I did and it automatically placed the logo in my timeline with a link. Very nice.
I just looked, I posted it on February 18 and these are the results. I'm not sure what it means. Does anyone know? 6,317 Likes 37 talking about this

I don't really either. My account is empty of all things. I friend only my family. They are all regularly using it. This way I can post in my Timeline on occasion and it appears to spread like wildfire.
