Discuss The Walking Dead

Flex some literary muscle here and break it down for me. Let's see what we can collectively come up with.

Hey guys I just went to Universal Studios in Hollywood this weekend and they totally took away the Walking Dead attraction and replaced it with a Life of Pets ride! The Walking Dead attraction was a pretty scary and realistic walk through with actual scenes and sets identical to the show. As hugely popular as TWD was in its hey day this attraction seemed like a no brainer huge hit. But perhaps as the show is no longer popular at all and many stopped watching it for several seasons, Universal felt they needed to replace it with Life of Pets. The Life of Pets ride was pretty awful, I dont see it lasting much longer so they'll probably tear it down and put something else up in this place soon.

Too bad, no more zombies. What will they have next after Life of Pets Ride?

On a totally different topic Super Mario Land is coming soon to Universal and should be ready by 2023! I saw the videos of the Japan theme park version and it looks super innovative and impressive!

That sounds exciting.

I'm not sure? Universal always had a problem with shoving the new hottest TEMPORARY movie ride down our throats and tearing down the legendary classics like The Back To The Future Ride, The Terminator show attraction(although I think Orlando still has theirs?), etc. and replacing them with far inferior crap like the Simpsons ride, Minions ride, etc. Don't get me wrong the Simpsons is one of those rare things thats been around forever and will always be around but they should have just made the Simpsons land but not remove BackToTheFuture and replace it with a weak Simpsons ride. BTTF is one of the GOATS that will always be on top of the lists of all hollywood flicks for generations and generations!

Same with the Terminator show attraction its also one of those iconic movies that will always seem cool, edgy, and relevant so they should have kept it. I dont even think LifeOfPets was even that big of a blockbuster hit right? I think Universal is just desperate since their rivals Disney owns all the cool movies, franchises and characters so its slim pickings for Universal.

Also another example is the studio tour tram ride now ends with a really corny Fast And Furious climatic ending where the tram ride turns into a race car scene from FnF like really? talk about half assing and shoving down the FnF franchise down our throats, they should just keep the studio tour tram ride on the classics a la example: Psycho, Jaws, King Kong etc. and not any of the crap thats come out in the last 20 years LOL.

Oh yeah and now that you mention it Jurassic World/Jurassic Park is probably Universal's last hope so they should milk the F out of that and develop a ton of Jurassic themed rides and attractions instead of doing a LifeOfPets ride. But yeah Super Mario Land will defeat anything Disney can do. If you watch the videos of the Japan theme park it looks crazy innovative and impressive. It looks like you wear a visor/3D glasses and just by looking at like mushrooms and coins you grab them and fire things at the enemies! So you dont even use your hands at all just by turning your head and looking at the right objects you interact and play the game while on the ride!
