Discuss Homeland

And when she tried to drown it in the bath tub. All along I thought Carrie was a hero but the writers turned her into a psychopath. She woos the father, has irresponsible unprotected sex with him. She says that she loved him but then tries to kill their baby? Wtf? She could have just aborted the child but I suppose that that would have been too impersonal. Better to just kill the child with her bare hands instead. I really have a hard time watching a show about this bitch Carrie. It would have been better if they gave Carrie a better reason to be away from her child.

@Nubyan, @Invidia, it's been a while since I wrote those posts I almost forgot about them. Thank you for having my back. I guess I took it a bit personal being bipolar myself, though I don't have the same exact symptoms as Carrie. I'm a kitten compared to her 😊 Anyway, this message board is still a hundred times better than IMDb ever was so as long as we don't feed the hate/trolls we'll be fine.

Cheers.

Ps. @Invidia, stellar research you did on mental health 👍

You had and/or have every right to take that reply personal...with or without your diagnosis.

That was so wrong and completely ignorant on the part of the OP that I had to speak up.

You defended yourself well. I'm impressed and I'm not entirely sure if I would have handled myself as well as you... had it been me. Kudos to you.

Carrie's parents were never divorced...just estranged.

The mother basically started her life over without her first family and with her new kid. She worked and supported herself and child.

The men she had affairs with were not really quality men. So the father of her son was not in the picture from what the show shared with the audience.

Thanks for the heads up on "Top of the Lake". I never watched it. I have seen the previews to the next installment and it does look interesting. I'll have to see if I can fit it into my schedule.

I just binged watch the first season of The Mist. You may have heard of and seen the movie. I'm waiting to delve into season two when it begins. Check that out if sci-fi mystery interest you.

It's been a pleasure communicating and reading your posts. I look forward to running into you on the boards again. I'll make sure to give you a" shout out". 🖐

Wow, that sounds Awesome! Okay, I'm interested. I'll check it out.

You twisted my arm girl! laughing

Checked out THE MIST at WIKIPEDIA. It reminds one of another film called THE FOG.

https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/790-the-fog

By the way, this is the original. They did a nice job with the remake too...starring Maggie Grace from Taken with Liam Neeson.

@Invidia: Another interesting trivia about the original... The Fog is that Jamie Lee Curtis (Halloween) and her mother...Janet Leigh (Psycho) worked together in that movie.

After her father...Tony Curtis died, she opened up about him. Saying..."He was not a father".

The woman holding the gum and bloodied looks like one of the cast from Mad Men.

My curiosity is peeked. I'm trying to find the show now...on, ON DEMAND.

Really???

Never heard Jamie was estranged from her father.

What happened???

Her mother was wonderful in PSYCHO.

And in the other film that she made with ORSON WELLS.

Tony Curtis was more about himself. His acting career and other women.

He took care of them financially, but that's where it began and ended.

She didn't hate him. She was just keeping it real and being honest. I respect that.
