Kit takes a shortcut home, resulting in him getting in a fight. Baloo teaches Kit that when others use their strength against you, you have to start using your brains. Baloo then starts to search for a legendary idol which, if found, the Sultan of Kafusalum is giving a 13 million torbit reward. He starts his search at Louie's, who has turned his restaurant into a 'Idol Hunters Headquarters. There, they meet Col. Spigot, who's on a quest to search and find the idol in the name of the Thembrian government. When Baloo solves the mystery behind the riddle, he claims his prize, only to have it snatched away by Spigot. After several attempts to take it back by force, Baloo has to follow his own advice and start using his brains.

Shere Kahn is making an under-the-table deal with the Finance Minister of Klopstokia to give Kahn Enterprises exclusive delivery contracts. At Higher for Hire, Baloo is excited that Whistlestop Jackson, the legendary ace of the skies, is helping Higher for Hire, even if he's just going to be the vice president. Jackson offers to show Baloo a few pointers, but Baloo ends up bailing him out. Becky blames Baloo for showing off, enraging him to fake an injury so Whistlestop will have to make the next delivery and reveal that he is a fraud. But the next delivery is to Klopstokia, and if done properly will result in an exclusive delivery contract. This gets Kahn's attention and he is not about to let Whistlestop, his old rival, get the upper hand... again.
