Quando il mostruoso Gyumaoh fu sconfitto dal dio della guerra Nataku Taishi e imprigionato nel castello di Hoto, iniziò un'era di pace nella terra di Togenkyo. Per salvare l'umanità da un violento massacro, Bosatsu invia Son Goku, Genjo Sanzo, Sha Gojyo e Cho Hakkai ad ovest per impedire la resurrezione di Gyumaoh.
