Reported Problem for Hunter x Hunter

Extra Details: Currently your setup is 62-78-12 when it comes to number of episodes per season which is wrong (4 episodes too many), it should be 58-78-12 with the last 4 episodes of season 1 removed because they are also currently part of season 2.
Would be nice if we could have the seasons locked at 58-78-12 and keep it consistent with other providers such as TheTVDB.

Normally, the users should always read the existing reports before creating a new report. I quote the rules : "Before creating a new content issue report, make sure the issue was not already reported or your question already answered."

Normally, the users should never have to read "Closed" reports for clearly "Open" issues. What's so unreasonable with my request?

They should, to see if there is an explanation.
If we let them open, each time that a moderator will process a report for that series, it will see the report open and lost time to see if something should be done.

why haven't the seasons been merged? literally every source says it's one continuous series including anidb.

As indicated, t is on the list of anime where the seasons need to be merged. This will be done at a later date, not yet defined, by the administrator.

Good point. Then a new option named "in process" should be implemented. And only mods should be able to set a thread to "in process", for exactly those cases.
