Beverly insists the entire family gather for the holiday, but tension builds when brother-in-law Marvin tricks Pop-Pop into thinking Thanksgiving was at his house.Meanwhile, Pops passes the torch to Barry and Erica to give the holiday toast, resulting in them trying to one-up each other.

Inspired by “Top Gun,” Barry decides to join ROTC. Convinced it will help discipline him, Murray orders the Captain to prevent Barry from quitting when the going gets tough, prompting Beverly to join Barry, too! Meanwhile, Adam helps Pops get his swag back with a special librarian.

After getting their first-ever answering machines, Murray and Pop-Pop wage a message war on one another. Fed up, Erica, Barry and Pops try to stop the fighting by offering a trip to a hockey game as an olive branch. Meanwhile, Adam finally finds a lunch-time home with some lovable geeks in the computer room, but Beverly worries about his social standing and intervenes.

Beverly's patience with Pop Pop is put to the test due to his endless Thanksgiving demands; Barry and Erica are ready to return home for the holiday, but Uncle Marvin accidentally drives them to Pittsburgh.

Beverly discovers Murray is actually a year younger than they knew so she plans a do-over at celebrating his 50th birthday, while Coach Mellor attempts to prepare non-athletic Adam for tryouts for pickleball.

Pop-Pop surprises the family with an ill-advised winter cruise to Canada. Meanwhile, Erica stirs up holiday trouble at home on an all-new Hanukkah-themed episode.

In order to take her mind off of her heartbreak, Erica takes a trip to Los Angeles to see her best friend; after getting caught taking part in an underground poker game, Adam gets sentenced to Pop-Pop duty, which turns out better than expected.

Missing his Pops, Adam finds himself disenchanted with his once favorite time of year, Halloween, until Beverly encourages Pop Pop to spend time with his grandson. Barry decides to bring his former alter ego, rapper "Big Tasty," back to life; and a chance encounter with the legendary Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, brings Barry and Joanne closer together.

When Beverly learns that Linda Schwartz will host Thanksgiving this year, she becomes concerned that her role as family hostess - and more importantly as Erica's mom - is threatened. Meanwhile, Pop-Pop surprises the family by showing up with a new "lady friend."

Graduation day is approaching and everyone, especially Adam, is ready - except for Beverly who is not coping well with the idea of an empty nest. Meanwhile, with Geoff's encouragement, Erica decides to try out for Cyndi Lauper as a one-time backup singer replacement. Ultimately, resurrecting her singing dreams doesn't manifest, but bigger and exciting new beginnings await her and the Goldbergs.

With everyone living back at home, the house is full of Goldberg chaos and also ... Goldberg stuff, which is driving pregnant Erica bonkers and leads her to enlist Beverly's help in clearing things out for the baby. Meanwhile, Adam and Barry are forced to share a bedroom to make room for the baby nursery. Adam can't handle how insufferable Barry is, so he comes up with the ultimate prank to get back at him.

With both sides of the family eager for answers on Geoff and Erica's pregnancy, they decide to keep their baby's sex a surprise. However, a sonagram finding from Lou Schwartz might provide an unexpected discovery. Meanwhile, Adam recruits Glascott to help his mother cope with his departure for NYU; but when he later has a change of heart about heading off to college, he sources a job as the personal assistant to a special celebrity to help lessen the blow when news of his deferred enrollment is delivered to Beverly.  

Despite promising to keep distance from Brea so they can each establish themselves at college, Adam calls her, sending Beverly into a tailspin. Meanwhile, Joanne lands a coveted job at a posh Philly law firm and Barry takes full advantage of the perks of her new gig, blinding him from the reality of the situation.  

The country music craze hits the town, and everyone is line dancing; Adam scores a new job, but his lack of time to spend with Pop-Pop results in some comically disastrous outcomes.

It's Thanksgiving, and no one crushes Turkey Day like Beverly Goldberg; though, with the loss of Murray, this holiday feels a bit different. Geoff and Erica are stressed over the new baby; and, even more worrisome, an unexpected Goldberg relative arrives. With everyone highly suspicious of this unforeseen visitor, things are likely to go off the rails at any moment.

Adam, excite to introduce Carmen to his family, is shocked by a former incident between her and one of his siblings; Geoff helps Pop-Pop improve his roommate status.

When the Flyers make it to the Stanley Cup Finals, Barry implements superstitious protocols that the family must follow; per Geoff's request, Lou and Linda spend some quality time with Muriel.

At Pop-Pop's old apartment, Adam discovers an item from the past and realizes they have more in common than he thought; Erica and Geoff search for a place to enjoy a moment alone.

Beverly discovers the complicated world of adult relationships is filled with minefields when she opens her mind to dating. Meanwhile, Barry discovers a new passion.

With Erica at a crossroads about her future, she draws inspiration from Baby Boom and crafts a plan to "have it all." Meanwhile, Adam remakes the "Uptown Girl" music video, meets Carmen's father and learns to be more of a "downtown man.".

When Adam takes Beverly to her high school reunion, a la "Back to the Future," he tries to end a reality where she winds up with the wrong man. Meanwhile, Barry and Joanne make a surprising decision to prove the seriousness of their relationship.
