I would think there would be a time jump, but it would also be nice to see the damage control and the wider society that Westworld is a part of.

Bern asks "When is this?" because shortly before the revolution went off he was asking FORD to take him back to look through is old memories so he can discover the TRUTH and then shortly after Ford forces him to shoot himself. So naturally, when Maeve brings him back online he asks that question because he wasn't sure if he was getting taken back or WHAT.

?? What do you mean when does the revolution begin? It begins when Ford introduces his final "narrative" and he lets the hosts loose on the guests and they start the killing spree. Then Maeve catches up with Bernard on the floor where he shot himself because Ford programmed him to. I also think Ford programmed Maeve as part of his new "narrative" as Bernard points out to Maeve to which she reacts by breaking the tablet and says some shit like, "No one is controlling me darling" yet you can see her preprogrammed words being spelled out on the tablet. Anywho, right before Bernard is forced to shoot himself he was going "back in time" to find out who he really was. This is why when Maeve brings him back he is a bit confused and he asks "Is this the past?" . It was pretty straightforward to be honest with you. No mystery there.

The problem is S1 ended 1 1/2 YEARS ago and haven't seen it again since then. So the MEMORY of what happened was FUZZY. And it wasn't making sense that BERN would be there at the GALA when he was already dead.

And if EVERYTHING we see is FORD's NEW NARRATIVE it also wasn't making sense that he would have MAEVE and FELIX find him and FIX him again after making him KILL himself.

But if they found him before the NEW NARRATIVE begins that also explains how he ends up on the BEACH after having been dead. Perhaps the GUN SHOT also damaged him somehow??? And FELIX didn't see the hole that causes FLUID to leak out of his ear???

He was probably also hurt again in the BARN when he tried to defend the STABLE hand.

I don't think Maeve resurrecting Bernard is part of the narrative. Remember, that the hosts do retain some autonomousness.

How are you watching season 2? Do you not have the ability to go back and watch season 1? I finished rewatching it over the weekend and it has refreshed a lot of what has happened. You know that you can get HBONOW for free for the first month. Plenty of time to rewatch season 1 grin

But then the other WRITER also keeps pointing out how both MAEVE and HECTOR Keep REPEATING lines of SCRIPT that he wrote for them (which also seems to indicate they're still running on whatever's been SCRIPTED or CODED for them to say).

Yes, what I think (my theory, nothing substantial to back it yet) is that these lines that were indeed written for their narratives are still floating around in their heads like CLICHE sayings and everyone in a while they pull a saying from the memory to use in a time when it is appropriate. Just like you may hear US say something like "Everybody and his brother" or "Flat as a pancake" it doesn't mean that I wrote that saying but I do use it when apropos.

Yes one can tell how you've seen it recently by the BRILLIANT things that you've said in your messages.

So a BIG BRAVO to you for the way that you've done your HOMEWORK (so to speak) and have taken what amounts to a REFRESHER course.

I'm watching S2 both at the SCHEDULED TIMES and ON DEMAND. And since they're also already DELETING the FIRST EPISODES of S2 from ON DEMAND, I also recorded Ep 1 & 2 of S2 on the DVR.

Since Ep 3 of S2 aired Sunday, that also indicates they only have an eppy of S2 available ON DEMAND for about 2 weeks before they remove it.

ALL of S1 is still available ON DEMAND and it will be until JULY 1ST.

That's also why I've been concentrating mostly on watching S2.

Because after it ends, then the plan is to go back and watch S1 again

(once one is also more WISE to what's going on from having watched all of S2 before one watches S1 again).

That way one can also look for CLUES that one may have missed before that may also indicate which direction they were heading in this season.

One already knows about the 2 DIFFERENT VERSIONS of the WW LOGO that indicated there were 2 different TIME LINES.

But it's the other even more SUBTLE stuff that one wants to find

(in regards to character development for example)

once one has HINDSIGHT as to what's happened in S2.

Just check ON DEMAND again which previously said EP 1 of S2 would only be available until MAY 5th or 6th, and now it's saying it will be available until JULY 18.

rolling_eyes

But Ep 2 of S2 still says it's only there until MAY 13TH (for 3 more days).

And Ep 3 of S2 also says it won't be available for very much longer.

So if they also change Ep 2 & 3 of S2 to being available until sometime in MID JULY, then one will also try to watch some of S1 again. Because then one also won't feel like one's UNDER a DEAD LINE where eppys of S2 will be removed soon.

Ha ha! Thank you! Yes, one does feel to fully understand this show one must take refresher courses but that's what makes the show so much FUN.

I doubt they would be cheesy enough to pull the dual time line trick on us again. It seems like this season's flare artistique is the telling of the narrative in disjumbled order much like Tarantino's Pulp Fiction. As we saw at the end of episode three (The chick with the tiger) was actually the continuation of what we saw in the episode prologue.
