Discuss See No Evil

Painstakingly assembling and reviewing video from surveillance cameras in the surrounding area and beyond, police are often able to reconstruct a violent crime such as a murder or kidnapping. (Occasionally they recover a kidnapping victim alive, but usually not after 24-48 hours.)

Interweaving actual video footage from many surveillance cameras with re-enactments and interviews of the victim's friends and family, as well as police video of actual suspect interrogations, the show carefully traces the path a perpetrator took from the point of the crime. It is stunning how they can piece everything together and bring the perpetrator to justice, relying mainly on the cameras that never blink and never sleep.

They also use mobile phone data and credit card/purchase data. It's amazing how they are able to link these data sources with the camera data to put the puzzle pieces together.
