Yes it is still expensive but not as expensive as it used to be and the quality of the effects have improved. It is interesting though, what type of budget is Marvel investing on each Netflix series? With each successful series has Marvel upped the budget or has Marvel planned this by the books for each series regardless of the results. AoS does cost a ton of money.

Another thing though is that each subsequent Netflix series takes advantage of the previous with what works and how to best use the technology.
