Discuss The Grand Tour

I didn't make the connection until today (I've never been fast on the uptake) but I've got a sneaky suspicion the season finale is a commentary on Black Panther hysteria. If this is the case, well played, gents, well played indeed.

Now I have to finish the damn episode, damn wife n' kid distractions. I wouldn't be surprised if they did poke fun at it, but aren't they filmed relatively far in advance?

You may be right about the part that was filmed in Mozambique but during the part in the tent at the opening, James May says his idea for how to end the season was to film a car getting launched into space (paraphrasing here) which I'm pretty sure is a jab at the recent SpaceX launch where that exact thing happened. Unless of course it was known well in advance that Elon Musk was including his car as part of the test launch. I wasn't even aware of the test launch until after it happened so this could very well be the case. If it all just happens to be a coincidence, I would call it serendipitous.

Ah right, the intro part. Yeah I thought of SpaceX immediately, too. Might be a follow-up tongue in cheek from the "Tesla Review with 8 lawyers".
