The gang has finally arrived at the hot spring inn. They're looking forward to a relaxing bath and a nice dinner, but as usual, Haruhi gets a little too excited...

The summer is almost over. Ever since the other Yuki disappeared, Kyon has been acting strange around Yuki. When he realizes that it’s not just him who’s feeling awkward and that he’s making Yuki suffer, he decides to do something about it.

Kyon plans to do his summer homework, but Haruhi constantly talks him and others into doing various leisure activities, like visiting a water park, attending Bon festival, stargazing, fishing, and going on a movie marathon. Eventually, they all gather at Kyon's place at the last moment to do their homework but end up playing cards and video games instead.
