Discuss Young Sheldon

I've only watched a few of these shows. But in one show Georgie is watching Charles in Charge and in another Sheldon discovers Star Trek (TOS) as a brand new thing. They also are proud of the fact that they get all three network stations.

Now on TBBT Sheldon is roughly 30 years old and on YS he's about 10. So by rights the show should take place in the year 2000.

Any thoughts?

Hey Lemons Glad to hear from you. But clearly 2,000,000 and 12,000 BC are complete nonsense. As Mary Cooper will tell you the world is only 9,000 years old. No brownies for you.

Hi Timlet. So doing the math to about 9000 years ago, we know the show wasn't set in 7000ish BC because there was never a flood on the show where Noah and his ark containing 2 velociraptors sailed by.

Oh, you missed that episode? Too bad.

It was a very sad episode. The Ark started out filled with all sorts of animals. At the end there were only the 2 velociraptors at one end of the ship and a Tasmanian Devil on the other.

😂

It might have been funny to see an episode set in Mary's version of 7000 BC. Instead of using his smarts for theoretical physics, Sheldon could have applied them to "what's that orange hot crackley stuff that I cook my pterodactyl buffalo wings over?" and "can we eat rocks or not?"

Do Texans eat Buffalo wings? Sounds kinda Yankee to me.

I live in the south, though not in Texas, and we consume plenty of buffalo wings. I could change it to Brachiosaurus brisket though to be safe.

I spent the day trying to find evidence to the contrary but couldn't. So I guess I'll have to take your word for it.
