I have some neat info but it's "embargoed" until season 3 is released. So I'll have to wait to reveal it until then.

Even if you never enjoyed Star Trek, you might like The Orville.
It's a lot more... normal... in many ways.

I actually have seen one clip from the Orville. Somebody put a link on The Big Bang Theory board and I watched it.

I looked at some clips on youtube and decided not to suggest any to you. It's really best to see the complete first ep, from start to finish. Clips easily give the wrong impression.

I wasn't a huge fan after the first season, too many puerile (di*k) jokes. But they seemed to settle in in the second season & balanced the serious with the funny. But the long wait (& the flimsy excuses why) & then the decision to jump to Hulu didn't sit well with me. So I'm not really sure if I'll bother with season 3.
