Discuss Raised by Wolves

glad to know humans and carbon-based living beings are one mutation away from never needing water again.

I would have gladly suspended my disbelief if only I had liked the show overall.

Are you telling me there is no water on the planet?

I don't remember any being shown/used, though my memory is not very trustworthy. But to be clear, the subject is not brought up explicitly, neither in conversations nor in scenes, so I guess the audience is to assume there's some, evenmoreso as there are (supposedly) indigenous lifeforms on the planet. I was more ranting out of frustration after the weak ending (imo) of the 1st season :)

weak ending

I wouldn't contest that. What were they even thinking?

And about water we have to think it's there. IIRC the planet was "selected" right?

Apparently they were thinking... $econd $ea$on. And yes it was selected, though it seems not for the reasons they were told by Sol or their "atheist God" or whoever decided on it.

Here's a long explanation/extrapolation on the overarching plot: https://www.looper.com/255138/the-ending-of-raised-by-wolves-explained/

I had forgotten about the a tropical zone, but maybe it doesn't need water either :) I'm so not gonna watch the 2nd season, despite so many mysteries and cliffhangers...

LOL

The ending is bland and if it's any other show I would have abandoned it. The only reason I will continue to watch this series is because of how unique it is. But if $eason 2 also falters away I am gonna call it quits.

Thanks for your sacrifice. Please let us know if it wasn't in vain.

Given that modern human beings live primarily off of soda and booze, this ain't far from reality. If anything, the idea that we require a mutation is what's far fetched

lol, then I may have missed the Budweiser tanks attached to their spacecraft too.

Talking about hard sci-fi, your comment just reminded me of Idiocracy and their Coke-irrigated fields. Indeed "evolution" doesn't necessarily involve mutations.

All right, I am not gonna watch this Season 2 unless or until this show is renewed. I am rather disappointing with how Season 1 ended as it is, don't want no cliffhangers especially given how full of questions and no answers this show is.
