When the prequel trilogy originally came out in theaters, I hated it. I gave into the media trashing of it. However, the more I watch the three movies over time, the more I like and enjoy them. I even have grown a liking to Jar-Jar. It can happen.

I agree the prequels aren't so bad, I actually appreciate them a lot more now because The Force Awakens was just a boring, crappy remake of A New Hope.

The prequels are what they are. I don't hate them, and I'll even watch them now and again. They're like that crazy uncle no one likes to talk about, but you visit every once in awhile.

I think the phantom menance is a solid entry. Three is a guilty pleasure. 2 I still find a lot of fought with and don't enjoy as much as the others.

I can enjoy episodes two and three but not the first, I just skip to the duel!

They were all cack, but imo AOTC was the least cack.

For me, Attack Of The Clones was by far the worst of the three.

You may be right. But you'd have to tie me to a chair Clockwork Orange style to find out.

So did I.
My hate had nothing at all to do with the media.
Now that I've come to understand the truth about Jar Jar (see this TMDb thread for articles, videos and discussion) rewatching the PT has become more intriguing for me. I gladly admit that, the scope of this angle is remarkable.
However, after watching how Clone Wars excellently and consistently added to the Star Wars story, the prequel trilogy's plot holes, poor story-telling, gimmickry, anachronisms and general BS are beyond my capacity to overlook. RedLetterMedia's reviews on Youtube are extremely well developed (if you can stomach/see beyond the guy's disturbing/offensive/distracting sense of humour).

This is also called, "Stockholm Syndrome." Thankfully, I've never been locked into a confined space with any of the prequels and remain capable of calling all three, "utter crap." I've been unable to complete any of them again and, in fact, was unable to satisfy a woman for six months after seeing, "Attack of the Clones." With therapy and great amounts of chicken pho soup I recovered.
No, I'm sorry, but you were clearly driven to insanity due to Jar Jar overexposure. There is no cure other than a complete frontal lobotomy. (This can be self-administered by watching Strange Magic or Red Tails.)
