Osage is a language spoken prominently in the film, and director Martin Scorsese went to great lengths to highlight how important it is to the story (as can be seen in this TV spot with the cast and crew). However, neither Osage nor even the greater language family of Sioux can be chosen as an option on the edit page. Major parts of this film are shot in Osage, which speaks to how the languages and cultures of the characters in the film interact and clash.
This is part of a larger issue with this site, which uses ISO 639-1 as a language standard. This standard is outdated and exclusionary towards many native languages, and as I have stated here, a move towards 639-3 should be discussed. This is one of the most anticipated film releases this year from a lauded and notable filmmaker, and this website cannot properly reflect one of the main themes of the film.

Hi, since this is something that can't be fixed - as you know from the official reply you linked - I'm noting your complaint and hope for a future fix. Closing topic.
