Discuss Io Capitano

Item: Io Capitano

Language: en-US

Type of Problem: Bad_image

Extra Details: The primary poster on Io Capitano doesn't obey the primary poster guidelines which state that:

The top poster should be a "clean" poster when one is available. We count on you guys to up-vote the best textless posters in each languages to the top. While this policy might not please everyone, it is simply a matter of consistency in our design.

There are clean posters available only they've all been set as Italian language posters, even though the title is the same, written in the same way in both languages.

According to TMDb's rules:

This means primary posters are selected by popular vote. Any winner on that ranking is automatically set as primary. This should be self-evident. The only reason Io Capitano doesn't have a "clean" version is because all clean versions have been tagged as Italian, even though Io Capitano has been chosen as the name of the movie across different languages. This makes choosing a clean poster impossible when it shouldn't be.

The top poster is selected by user votes, not the primary poster. A primary poster is one that is manually selected by moderators when the top poster does not meet certain image guidelines. A primary poster is not influenced by user votes and will always be the top poster until the "primary" designation is removed.

A primary poster is a top poster but a top poster is not a primary poster.

Since the top poster doesn't meet the image guidelines of being clean could you select a primary poster for English that is clean. There are lots of available clean ones.

There is no requirement that the top poster needs to be a clean poster, only that, when available, the clean poster should be the top poster, keyword being when available.

As for the primary poster request, there is no clean English poster available for Io Capitano because the Original Movie Language is set to Italian, meaning all clean posters should be set to Italian.
