Biography

Rhys was born at home in Encinitas, CA on December 20, 2010. Rhys Becker discovered his love for performing at the age of seven when he was cast as young Philip Carlyle in a musical theatre production of The Greatest Showman at a local studio, Center Stage, in Orange County, CA. From there, Rhys continued to perform at Center Stage, starring as "Aladdin", "Willy Wonka" and "Alexander Hamilton" respectively. At age 10 he joined the Center Stage competitive Dance Team, competing on several teams: hip hop, all boys jazz, tap, and musical theatre ensemble in addition to performing a dance solo and monologues. It was during this time he became interested in acting for television and film. He began taking classes with Cynthia Bain and Jillian Rose Reed at CYBAS, Improv with Japheth Gordan at John D'Quino's YAW and Voiceover with Lynnann Zager and Shane Brady. Rhys began booking commercials and a few music videos and quickly caught the acting bug. In Oct 2021, Rhys booked the supporting role of "Will", Gina Carano's son in the upcoming Western film, "Terror on the Prairie." He learned a lot working with many seasoned and talented actors on set in Montana and under the wing of the incredible Director, Michael Polish and is looking forward to the film's much anticipated release in the summer of 2022. In addition to acting, Rhys enjoys playing in nature: rock climbing, climbing trees, hiking, surfing and swimming. He also enjoys playing guitar and ukulele. In his free time, he can often be found curled up with a book or building a Lego creation.
