In a remote village somewhere on the border between Quebec and the United States, Sonia initially prevents Victor, who has moved to the States, from entering the country. She soon regrets it when Lili-Beth decides to take part in a Petits Chefs competition, in which she seems to have little chance of winning. The intractable Sonia decides to try everything to get the unpleasant Victor to help her.
