They are much closer to us than it seems. Because the desires, the anxieties, the fears have remained the same. Hercules in Polesine is a journey through time and into the sea. The entertaining journey through 5,000 years of stories, myths, legends that tell us about horned and cheating gods, listless heroes and mythomaniacs, of desperate and blustering men. Unfortunately, Hades one step ahead of Zeus has already sent his bride and Queen of the Underworld Persephone to earth to find the key to open the passage way to earth allowing Hades' evil and demonic creation called The Harbinger of Death to attack. The only thing standing between the impending invasion and certain annihilation of mankind is Athena, The Goddess of War and seven brave humans courageous enough to join the fight to save mankind.

Eminent classical historian Robin Lane Fox embarks on a journey in search of the origins of the Greek myths. He firmly believes that these fantastical stories lie at the root of western culture, and yet little is known about where the myths of the Greek gods came from, and how they grew. Now, after 35 years of travelling, excavation and interpretation, he is confident he has uncovered answers.
