Based on the classic novella by Robert Louis Stevenson, "Hyde" tells the story of successful defense attorney Edward Hyde, who has the perfect family to go along with his perfect job...even though he finds himself struggling to balance the two at times. Once a horrible tragedy strikes, Edward begins to go down a dark path that leads him to spiral out of control...transforming into something else entirely.
Did you expect that evil had taken a vacation just because it's Christmas? Well, think again boys. Mr. Hyde appears at a prison in front of the inmates with a very different Christmas carol. And since he spends a lot of time on vaudeville, he sings and dance in this show as well.
Crime writer Ian Rankin investigates The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. Starting with Robert Louis Stevenson's nightmare in September 1885, Rankin traces the roots of this story, which stretches back to Stevenson's childhood. Grave-robbers, hallucinatory drugs and prostitution all play their part in the disturbing account of Henry Jekyll's double-life, as Rankin's journey takes him into the yeasty draughts and unlit closes of the city that inspired the tale - Edinburgh.
An adaptation of "The Strange Case of Doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde", heavily influenced by the Universal horror movies of the 1940s.
The only living descendant of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde makes a deal with the dark side.
