Het Meiji-tijdperk was er een van grote vernieuwing voor Japan, waar zwaarden en moord verboden waren. Veel overlevenden uit de tijd van de Revolutie leven echter nog steeds, op de loer in de schaduw en wachtend op een kans om hun moordzwaarden opnieuw te gebruiken.
