After the sudden death of her parents, a young girl finds a portal to an alternate world in which they are still alive and must choose whether to stay with them or go back to her brother in reality.
A girl who has a life she doesn't want, with no family present and no friends, receives a birthday present from her grandfather that will take her to a parallel dimension where she can take refuge. Happiness, anguish and loneliness await her behind the hands of an old clock. Already suffocated by her confinement, she receives one last present, a birthday cake. Blowing out the candles, she receives instructions on how to leave this dimension, but also how to enter new ones.
When Kathrine wakes up from a nap in her new home, she is faced with a life-or-death scavenger hunt.
