Entra nel giro di attori e registi non accorgendosi di quanto questi stiano prendendo in giro la sua mancanza di cultura. Intorno a lui ruotano personaggi alla ricerca di un senso nella vita e nei sentimenti. Agnés Jaoui ha diretto con mano ferma un film che è frutto di un lavoro attento sui personaggi e di un'orchestrazione davvero magistrale per un'opera prima.
