Documentary profiling young Roxy Music fans. They talk about the band and the music, are seen out and about in Manchester, they prepare for a concert at the Opera House. Includes footage of a tribute band, who, due to a lack of musical instruments, use household appliances to make music.

In 1973, Sweet were the subject of a documentary All That Glitters for BBC Schools series Scene. Being intended for “educational purposes,” the program had to pose a relevant topic for debate among its teenage audience—in this case, “Is the music business really that glamorous?” Over a period of two to three days, Scene followed the band members Brian Connolly (vocals), Steve Priest (bass/coals), Andy Scott (guitar) and Mick Tucker (drums) as they rehearsed for a Top of the Pops appearance (which led to an outcry over Priest’s Nazi outfit) and their (now hailed as “legendary”) Christmas show at London’s Rainbow Theater.

Tears were formed in the small town of Katrineholm, Sweden, back in 1968. A band from the same era as Sweet, David Bowie and T-Rex. In the middle of the prog wave, the band chose to invest in an extroverted expression with make-up, glitter and spectacular stage shows. A unique band in Sweden of that time not only for how they looked but also for their sound. Nowadays, the members of Tears are older men, but it still happens that they put on make-up and take to the stage. Ola Salo (The Arc) is one of Tears biggest fans and speaks passionately about the band's history and glam rock in general.

On stage, wearing a vinyl corset and stiletto boots, s/he's Venus, lead singer of the glam rock band All The Pretty Horses. At home in Minneapolis with Lynette, her wife of twenty years, s/he's Steve. Born male, Venus is transgender. S/he's "in between" — taking female hormones, but not planning to have sexual reassignment surgery. To some, s/he's a pioneer, courageously exploring a brave new world of gender identity, free of categorization. To others, s/he's a freak. VENUS OF MARS is both the unique coming out story of Venus' gender-redefining journey, and the truly contemporary love story of a couple weathering dramatic changes in uncharted relationship territory.

Swan (Paul Williams) é um famoso produtor de discos, que rouba de Winslow Leach (William Finley), um desconhecido compositor, uma cantata que retrata a trajetória de Fausto, o lendário mago, que vendeu sua alma ao diabo. Winslow tenta protestar, mas acaba sendo incriminado por Swan e é condenado à prisão perpétua como traficante, sendo enviado para Sing Sing. Enquanto Swan planeja usar a música roubada para inaugurar o "Paraíso", uma nova casa de espetáculos que está planejada para ser o novo templo do rock, Winslow consegue fugir da prisão. Quando tinha apenas seis anos, sua mãe, uma mulher amarga que dava aulas de escultura a deficientes, contou a ele uma história sobre a origem do amor. A história era baseada num mito grego segundo o qual, originalmente, as pessoas eram dotadas de dois pares de braços e de pernas, e de dois rostos. Acontece que os deuses temiam seu poder e, então, Zeus lançou um raio que dividiu as pessoas em duas e as condenou a vagar pela Terra procurando suas metades perdidas. O sentimento que se tinha ao encontrar a outra metade era o amor. Desse dia em diante, Hedwig decidiu que encontraria sua metade perdida.
