Het is niet gemakkelijk om op te groeien in de buitenwijken van een grote stad. Romaissa (12) woont met haar niet-ondersteunende moeder in een kleine flat in Rotterdam-West. De woningbouworganisatie besluit dat het tijd is om het gebouw af te breken en iets nieuws te bouwen. Romaissa en haar buren bedenken een plan om te voorkomen dat de gemeenschap daar wordt opgesplitst. De kansen zijn tegen hen. Romaissa moet haar eigen weg in het leven vinden en de diva's op school laten haar niet los! Met een beetje hulp van haar beste vriend Lionel wordt Romaissa misschien wel een superheld!

It’s not easy growing up in the suburbs of a big city. Romaissa (12) lives with her unsupportive mom in a small flat in Rotterdam-West. The housing organization decides it’s time to knock the building down and build something new. Romaissa and her neighbours come up with a plan to save the community living there from being split up. The odds are against them. Romaissa has to find her own path in life and the diva’s at school won’t let her off the hook! With a little help from her best friend Lionel, Romaissa might just become a superhero!
