Discuss The Mighty Ducks

At one point near the end of the movie, the team goes to a Minnesota North Stars game. They are playing the team with the best logo in the history of sports, the Hartford Whalers! :) The funny thing about this is I was listening to this very game live back here in Connecticut, and our play-by-play guy--the great Chuck Kaiton--said there was a crew there filming a movie, but he didn't know what it was. He also mentioned the North Stars were wearing their away jerseys--back then was the dark uniforms, which it still should be--and the Whalers were wearing their home whites. Some people who watch this movie might confuse the Minnesota North Stars with the Dallas Stars, because this was the one season the North Stars has their new logo...which the Dallas Stars adopted and still use today. Nevertheless, it's the North Stars. This game ended with two seconds left in OT. Kaiton explained exactly what had to happen with such little time left for the Whalers to score, and it happened just as he described. Kaiton went nuts. We Whalers fans refer to this as his Tarzan call...as during the replay in the post game show he himself said he sounded like Tarzan. Here's the call: Chuck Kaiton's Tarzan call vs. Minnesota - February 29, 1992
