Just like part 4 of nightmare and friday 5 it seems the film was capturing the style of the times. I loved Rachel's new love and the first half is decent because of her. It still flabberghasts me they killed her off so early going in. I mean Jamie has no bond with Tina and we as an audience know nothing about her or a reason to care what happens to her. So why replace a beloved character for a cheap death scene?
Even a rare extended trailer showed a few shots of it were trimmed showing more disrespect. This would be like killing Laurie off in H20 by helping him escape the overturned van and dying off screen.
