Charles Van Doren and Herb Stempel, the real-life contestants portrayed so wonderfully by Ralph Fiennes and John Turturro in this excellent film, are both still alive and in their early '90s.

I cannot recommend this film enough. For years people have argued over which deserved to win Best Picture - Forrest Gump, Pulp Fiction, The Shawshank Redemption - but for me this is the best of that year's nominees.
