Discuss Mohabbatein

The story is about many characters and their actions about love. 3 teenagers, Sameer, Karan and Vikram that enter the college of Gurukul, very successful but its principal Narayan (Amithab Bachchan) is extremely strict and forbids any distraction - including love. A new professor, M. MAlhotra, wants to teach music to the students, he manages to do it if he finds enough interested students. Our 3 newcomers are there (with others) and they're caught in a love feeling, and they meet girls they're interested in. But Karan tells them the sad story of "the sad poet", he fell in love with Narayan's daughter, Narayan expels him without seeing him, causing his daughter to commit suicide.

My summary isn't much efficient to make you feel the strong feelings I felt seeing it for the first time, but the movie has the story and relationships developing very well, the musical / dance parts are awesome and visually splendid. Acting is incredible from Shah Rukh Khan, he gives his character so much emotion and strength it pulls you in. Amithab is at his scariest, unflinching in his vision of teaching. We also have Uday Chopra, Jimmy Shergill, Shamita Shetty at the beginning of their careers, and Amrish Puri and Anupam Ker in supporting roles.
