Discuss A Day at the Races

It was both his favorite Marx Bros. film and his favorite role in a Marx Bros. film.

I would have preferred hearing the Dr. Hackenbush song and one or two fewer Allan Jones songs, but I suppose MGM was trying to push some musical hits.

It's ironic that when they moved to MGM, they started including the types of musical numbers they so expertly lampooned in their Paramount years.

Still, it's a great movie. The hilarious Groucho scenes are plentiful:

Chico giving Groucho a tootsy-frootsying. Groucho impersonating the medical examiner, harassing Whitmore. Groucho wooing Flo while dancing with Margaret Dumont. Chico and Harpo interrupting Groucho as he tries to seduce Flo.

These scenes had me on the floor laughing. I could probably watch the movie again and STILL laugh.
