I know everybody thinks Candace's life is a mess, but I personally think Candi's character and entire role in the film was just messy.
All in all I think Keshia Knight Pulliam did a poor job at portraying Candace Washington but that even a better actress couldn't have made the character of Candi any better because she was so poorly written and underdeveloped. I'm generally a Tyler Perry fan, but I just feel that certain aspects of this film particularly the character of Candi just weren't realistic or sensible.

I agree. They said he let her get rape. How, was he there when it was happening? He couldn't be with her 24 hours a day. I found that part a little confusing. He's her savior, than it's his fault that she was rape.
I was hoping that they were going to say she complete some type of drug rehab,or something. But I guess her drug problem just disappear on it own.

I agree the character wasn't realistic at all, nor did I find her very sympathetic . Like the part when the lady first tried to help her, she reject her help. When Joshua first tried to help her, she runs back to the streets. Yet when she goes for a job interview were she might actual get the job if she slept with the interviewer, she gets upset. Uh, I think it unrealistic for a girl who make a living using her body,( and a drug addict) would not sleep with a guy to get what she want/or need.
