The Merry Clayton footage in this documentary gives me chills. Her voice is amazing. It sucks that back then there was the mentality of "Oh, well there can only be one Aretha" when nowadays there are so many bands and singers who are just clones of each other.

It just goes to show that the music industry isn't always about who has the most talent. As Sting says in one of his interviews in the film, it's just as much about luck, destiny, or whatever you want to call it.
