When the killer visits the cafe at the beginning, it's daytime. The rest of the film clearly takes place over the course of an entire day, as it is dark outside when the family gets home and he attacks them. After killing the daughter, he wakes up in the tunnel, and it's the next morning. He eventually makes his way back to the cafe, only to find the EXACT same people sitting in the same seats, wearing the same clothing? Huh?
Did the director forget that it was the next day? Or is the cafe scene supposed to be an example of the killer's distorted perception of reality? (note: the alternate title of the film is Schizophrenia) But, the problem is, the narration at the end states that the killer was not mentally ill. So then the question is, is the killer schizophrenic or not? The mass murderer he's based on was not.
