悲观而神经质的建筑家在伊斯坦布尔近郊与朋友们露营时得了忧郁症。怀念故乡的他，在主治医生的建议下外出旅行，利用短暂的休假回到孩童时期居住的小镇。然而即使在郊外，他也无法对从地球有害的最新科技时代和自由主义带来的均质化交织成的网中逃离出来。本片通过大自然的雄壮美和男性内心纠结的对立，试图打破文明社会平静的假象，唤醒人们对高科技社会的反思。

Dogan, un architecte dépressif et névrosé, tombe malade alors qu'il campe avec ses amis près d'Istanbul. Son docteur lui conseille alors de partir en voyage. Il décide de retourner dans la ville où il est né, qu'il n'a pas vue depuis des années. Mais même la campagne n'a pas échappé à la toile tissée par l'ère technologique et la mentalité libérale.

This is the directorial debut of Muzaffer Ozdemir, Palme d'Or awarded actor of Uzak / Distant (2002) by Nuri Bilge Ceylan, and also an actor in the Ceylan films Kasaba / The Small Town (1997) and Clouds of May (1999). Dogan, a pessimistic and neurotic architect, falls ill while camping with his friends nearby Istanbul. His doctor advises traveling. Longing for his homeland, Dogan sets off on a short break to the town of his childhood, whence he did not have the opportunity to visit since years. But not even the countryside has escaped the homogenizing concrete web cast by the modern technological age and liberal mentality inimical to the Earth.

Karamsar ve nevrotik mizaçlı bir mimar olan Doğan, İstanbul yakınlarında arkadaşlarıyla kamp yaparken hastalanır. Danıştığı doktoru kendisine seyahat önerir. Sıla özlemiyle çocukluğunun geçtiği fakat uzun yıllardır göremediği memleketine tatile gider. Modern tekno-liberal zihniyet her yeri eşbiçimli hale dönüştürmüş, yeryüzüne yaptığı düşmanlıklar en ücra köşelere kadar sızmıştır. Doğan, zamanın bitip tükenmek bilmediği, dış dünyayı yalnızca kişiliğinin bir uzantısı gibi gördüğü sükûnet halindeki yurdunu boşuna arayacaktır.
