De 11-jarige Jimmy belandt met zijn moeder, een drukbezette zakenvrouw, in Afrika in verband met een te ontwikkelen golfresort. Inheemse stammen ruziën over het gebied. Als Jimmy van de sprekende giraffe Seraf hoort dat hij de stammenstrijd kan voorkomen, gaat hij met het arme meisje Charita op een avontuurlijke reis door de Afrikaanse wildernis.

Jimmy, an 11-year old European boy, goes to Africa with his mother, a busy executive charged with establishing a golf resort. However, on arriving they find themselves caught up in a war situation between rival indigenous tribes fighting over the land. To his surprise, Jimmy meets the talking giraffe, Seraf, at a busy market. Seraf tells Jimmy that he cannot easily avoid this tribal battle. But together with Charita, a poor African girl, Jimmy embarks on an adventurous and magical trip through the African jungle, where they must overcome many obstacles. Fortunately they have help, not only from Seraf, but also from a precious medallion. Throughout their trip, they discover that they can only achieve their goal if they truly believe in themselves and don't let anybody or anything get in their way.

Jimmy, un jeune Anglais de 11 ans, part vivre en Afrique avec sa mère, Lisa Westwood, qui doit prendre en charge l'installation d'un terrain de golf. Un jour, alors qu'elle tarde à venir le chercher à la sortie de l'école, il décide de rentrer à pied. Dans le marché de la ville, la jeune Charita lui vole son portefeuille. Il lui court après et tous deux finissent devant une vente d'animaux. Ils sont époustouflés par ce qu'ils découvrent : un girafon blanc, Seraf. La surprise est plus grande encore quand le girafon leur demande d'agir pour éviter la guerre qui pourrait éclater entre deux tribus. Première chose à faire : libérer Seraf.

Jimmi è un ragazzo europeo in viaggio in Africa con la madre. Smarritosi in un mercato locale, incontra Seraf, giraffa parlante che gli descrive le terribili atrocità dei conflitti tribali. Dopo aver conosciuto la bambina indigena Charita, comincia con lei e con Seraf un viaggio avventuroso attraverso la giungla.
