玩爵士的玩到Chris Botti这个程度其实就算成功了，要不在这个媒体时代，没有偶像与八卦。大家岂不被闷坏。尤其在一些中产阶级无聊的小资趣味里，Chris Botti这种略显苍白的素雅可谓百发百中。这点和某些ECM狂热份子十分类似。个人非常不敌Chris Botti每每将其越发见老的帅哥脸作封面。说到这，发现这些似乎和音乐都没啥关系，罪过、罪过、还是听音乐为主。

克里斯．伯堤與巨星之夜(Live– with Orchestra & Special Guests)是2005年Botti於知名的洛杉磯Wilshire劇場的演出實況。延續《征服情海》與《再愛一次》的創作概念，以爵士五重奏加上管絃樂團編制，演奏多首多數聽眾耳熟能詳的爵士標準曲，改編Leonard Cohen的《A Thousand Kisses Deep》、膾炙人口的《新天堂樂園》電影主題曲等非爵士樂曲，並請到多位與他私交甚篤的歌手同台演出，其中，英國流行音樂巨星Sting、加拿大爵士女歌手Paula Cole、老牌靈魂樂歌手Gladys Knight等人便分別與之搭檔演唱《My Funny Valentine》、《My One And Only Love》與《Lover Man》等歌曲，音樂會中還請到廿世紀美國重量級詞曲創作者Burt Bacharach與他合奏，實力女唱將Jill Scott和Renee Olstead則先後以《Good Morning Heartache》和《Pennies from Heaven》掀起演唱會高潮。整場演出小號呢喃低迴，柔情的音色深深吸引在場每一位聽眾。
