How come she never reconciles with her friend?

Just finished watching the movie and I was kind of disappointed we never saw a reconciliation. I like to think that they did become friends again. It looks like Louise gives up her power or whatever that giving away of the necklace was meant to symbolize and so her popularity is gone and she goes back to her normal life with the exception that she does get the guy and so does Polly.

That seems to be a big complaint, but in reality, Louise never really completely dumped Polly. She got a bit big-headed, but she still tried to stay close to Polly in the midst of her new popularity. Remember, Louise was the one who said she missed her best friend.
