Malena je atraktivní žena, povoláním psychoanalytička a oddaně tančí tango. Jedné noci nešťastnou náhodou zabije muže a rozhodne se svůj čin utajit. Několik dní poté spatří ve zprávách mužovu manželku a malou dcerku: byl to policista. Při svém plánu se Malena setkává s Carlosem, pracovním druhem mrtvého policisty, který vyšetřuje jeho zmizení. Je původem Vasc a říkají mu "Sabina", protože občas odpovídá pomocí frází z písní tohoto umělce. Malenu zaujme zvláštní fascinace "Sabinou", mužem, který má odhalit zločin, jehož se dopustila, a odvést ji do vězení. Od počátku je vztah mezi nimi vášnivý a přestupný, bez morálních zábran.

Malena is an attractive woman, psychoanalyst of profession and tango dancer by devotion. One night she kills accidentally a man and decides to hide her crime. Days after, she sees in the news the man’s wife and little daughter: he was a policeman. In her plan, Malena meets Carlos, work companion of the dead policeman who is investigating his disappearance. He is of Vasc origin and they call him “the Sabina,” because sometimes he answers using phrases of the songs of the artist. A strange fascination captures Malena with “the Sabina,” the man who has to discover the crime she committed and take her to prison. Since the beginning, the relationship between them is passionate and transgressor, without moral limits.

Malena es una atractiva mujer, psicoanalista de profesión y tanguera por devoción. Una noche mata accidentalmente a un tipo y decide ocultar su crimen. Días después, ve en un noticiero a la esposa y a la niña del hombre a quien mató: resulta ser un inspector de policía. Malena conoce a Carlos, compañero del policía muerto y encargado de investigar su desaparición. Es de origen vasco y lo llaman "El Sabina", porque a veces responde con versos de las canciones del artista. Una extraña fascinación se apodera de Malena con "El Sabina", el hombre que tiene que descubrir su crimen y detenerla. Desde el principio comienza a surgir entre ellos una relación apasionada y transgresora, sin límites morales.
