It's great he stayed to marry the girl. Actually life change for the better for Danny and Rose. Danny married a sweet and lovely girl. Rose stopped being dependent on him and actually found love herself and who she couldn't walk all over. (Nick)
Great movie btw. Both Mareen O'Hara and John Candy were fabulous.

I agree. He really needed to turn the page. Good comedy/dramatic role for both actors.

I just love Maureen O'Hara. I can't remember one movie that was bad with her in it.
And John Candy was always good for a laugh
