In a way this film was only distantly related to the hit 60's/70's sitcom. It was trying very hard to be very much a self-contained/then thoroughly modern movie. So many expected it to be just like the old show. It was not trying that hard to be that. Sylvia Kristel did a superb job (mind you she was really a Dutch lady) pretending to be all-American/gun toting/still nice agent-- also beautiful, totally together lady but with still lots of internal, deep powerful important feelings.
