A really tough sequence to watch. The beer-fuelled mayhem is brutal and disturbing - I am afraid to say that I looked away a lot during this section of the film.
Excellent, one of a kind film, though!

Yeah, it's pretty unacceptable as a scene, and think it will have been even at the time. They could have done the same scene and fired blanks, chalking the rubbish shooting down to drunkenness.

Evidently the scene was from a genuine kangaroo hunt. I had always thought that the hunting and killing of roos were illegal. I guess licensed hunters were allowed to cull them. The scene with the dog was disturbing .
